It was a sunny gorgeous day in Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirk for the nuptials of Zara Phillips and rugby star Mike Tindall!

Kate wore the same muted pale gold Jane Troughton dress coat she wore to the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes back in 2006. But accessorized with a gorgeous new hat. Her dress was hidden from view, perhaps in an attempt to lend some of the fashion lime light to Zara? You’ll know when we do!

Accompanying Kate, (aka, the Countess of Strathearn, when in Scotland) was Wills, the Queen, Prince Philip and Princess Anne.

Zara, wore an elegant ivory silk dress by Edinburgh-trained designer Stewart Parvin. The dress featured a chevron pleated bodice, ending in inverted pleats on a dropped waist creating a bell-shaped silhouette. It also included a concealed structured corset and silk tulle straps that fell into a V-shape at the back, a short train, and a voluptuous silk veil.

She topped it off with the Meander Tiara, lent to her by mother Princess Anne.

We gotta say, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were looking pretty chic today too. Both were wearing Angela Kelly outfits. For full details, see the Daily Mail.

The 45-minute ceremony was a private affair — there were no cameras inside the church, no order of service was released and only about 1500 onlookers showed up outside the Royal Mile of Edinburgh for a glimpse of the wedding party.

After the ceremony, the Royals headed to Hoylrood Palace for the evening reception. We’re still waiting for pictures and deets on what everyone’s wearing to that tonight — stay tuned readers!

Kate looked stunning this evening at Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s pre-wedding cocktail party aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh. She wore the same vibrant green Diane von Furstenberg dress she rocked in LA a few weeks ago — but this time we get to see the back, which we love!

Guests included Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara’s brother Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn. Hot Ginge was also in attendance — smoldering in a smart blue suit and sans a plus one, we might add.

The cocktail party followed an afternoon of pre-wedding rehearsals at Edinburgh’s Canonbury Kirk.

The couple’s big day is tomorrow, but it’s predicted to be a much smaller and more private affair than the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding last April!

Charles & Diana in Happier Times

Readers, it was 30-years ago that we saw Lady Diana walk down the aisle at St. Paul’s Cathedral to marry Prince Charles – and our fascination with the Windsors began!

We all know how the unhappy marriage ended and the tragic death of Diana that followed, but this was no-doubt one magical day.

Do you remember the wedding? If so, where were you watching?

We were five-years old and watching on the tele early in the wee hours of the morning with our mum; in awe of someone actually becoming a Princess before our very eyes!

It was so amazing to have the same feeling back in April watching Kate wed William – a marriage we think is way more solid that will stand the test of time!

The Duke and Duchess will be attending cousin Zara Phillips’ wedding to rugby player Mike Tindall this weekend in Edinburgh, Scotland. Although it will not be as grand an affair (it is said there will only be 200 guests), it is another Royal Wedding nonetheless. And we’ll be watching to see what designer Kate (and Zara, of course) wear for the big day!

The Photo That Launched Over 200K Facebook Fans

Wow, these Middleton girls sure have been keeping on the D.L. these past couple of weeks! Good thing we have cousin Zara’s upcoming nuptials this weekend where we are sure to have a Kate sighting!

In the meantime, let’s talk some Pippa Middleton.

We all know that next to Kate and “that dress”, Pip and her bum were indeed stand-out stars of the Royal Wedding on April 29.

Since then, Pip has become somewhat of a celebrity in her own right, with gals all over the world (inluding yours truly) hanging on her every move – and of course, copying her fab wardrobe.

So it comes as no surprise that ”P-Middy” has an upcoming documentary on TLC aptly titled, “Crazy About Pippa.” TLC assures us that, “those closest to Pippa provide insight into the life and work of the future Queen of England’s sister.”

The special will discuss Pip’s rise to notoriety following the wedding, taking in the Alexander McQueen gown she wore to walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey and touching on Pippa’s now infamous derriere which, following the wedding, won its own Facebook fan group with a 230,000-strong fans.

That’s one popular rump!

Since Pippa isn’t taking part herself in the special, it is unlikely we’ll know many more details about her than have already been made public.

The most salacious detail we may learn is that TLC reveals that Prince Harry refers to her as a “foxy filly.” This will likely fuel further rumors that there is hope for another Middleton-Windsor pairing; although we’re thinking probably not.

The network is spot-on, however, in claiming that Pippa is Britain’s “most eligible bachelorette” – although boyfriend Alex Loudon would beg to differ. No doubt he would like to think of his girlfriend as “off the market.”

When we were in LA covering the final day of Will and Kate’s North American visit, we couldn’t help but notice that Kate’s sapphire and diamond earrings looked a bit familiar. Not only were they a perfect match to her fabulous engagement ring, but we were sure we had seen them before.

We now know that we weren’t imagining things as we discovered that they were indeed the late Princess Diana’s favorite sapphire and diamond studs. The Mail reported today that Prince William gifted his new bride the heirloom shortly before their first official tour abroad.

A courtier confirmed the gift to The Mail saying, “Now they’re married, William wanted her to have some of his mother’s favourite pieces.”

Princess Diana was often seen sporting the earrings – considered to be among her most precious jewels – during appearances throughout the 1980s and 90s.

Kate was first spotted wearing the sparklers when she watched Andy Murray from the Royal Box at Wimbledon last month and also wore them during her visit to LA.

Naturally, the Duchess made a couple of changes to make the style her own, having the sapphire and diamond studs reset into delicate drop earrings. Modern and gorgeous!

We’re pretty sure that Wills has a treasure-chest full of fine gems to gift Kate over the years. She’s one lucky gal!

Readers, we first informed you back in early June that Kate’s unforgettable wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen would be going on display.

Today, the Duchess had a private viewing of the exhibition with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

No detail was spared in the exhibition from the Cartier tiara, veill and gown to the display of the wedding cake that had a traditional first mark made with a ceremonial sword.

Additionally, Kate’s shoes, earrings and even a silk replica of her bridal bouquet have been put on display for the half-million people who are expected to view the annual summer exhibition.

Kate looked stunning for the unveiling in a nude-colored wrap dress by one of her go-to designers, Joseph. Multiple Twitter feeds report that the dress is from the Autumn/Winter 20011 collection. The Duchess paired the shoes with her blush Jimmy Choo “Lovely” shoes that she debuted on her recent North American tour.

From what we hear, Queen Elizabeth has been extremely pleased with the Duchess following the flawless wedding performance and grand reception that Kate has received following her first official Royal tour.

Liz has taken such a shining to the the new addition to the Windsor clan, we also hear that she has personally invited William and Kate to holiday at the family retreat at Balmoral later this summer so that she can get to know Kate better.

Sounds like a thumbs-up to us! Well done, Duchess!

"Bridesmaids" - Duke & Duchess Date Night!

First readers, our apologies for dropping off the radar for a few days! “Real-world” responsibilities had us traveling to San Francisco for business straight after our dream trip with Kate to LA. What a Royal hangover we’ve been recovering from!

Alas, like Kate and Wills, we are now home and back in the game! Unfortunately for us, the Duchess has been pretty low-key since returning on a British Airways commercial flight to London on July 10. Can you imagine being a passenger on that flight?

We hear that Wills and Kate and their entourage split themselves between First and Business Class on the flight back home and even had issues with viewing movies on-board!

You heard that right…even the Royals couldn’t escape the in-flight entertainment issues and were forced to endure the 10-hour flight with no flicks! How boring!

And to make things worse, Kate doesn’t have the ability to down the free cocktails like water like the rest of us. Good thing she and Wills had lots to talk about after their whirlwind trip across Canada and LA! We’re pretty sure they took some time to catch-up on some sleep as well!

Thankfully for the couple, they’ll have some loot to spend on another British Airways flight as they and the rest of the passengers in their seating area were given $320 in vouchers to make good on the lack of entertainment! Does that mean they’ll be coming back to see us soon?

Since they couldn’t take in a movie, it looks like one of the first stops when getting back to the UK was to the local cinema to take in a showing of the summer hit, “Bridesmaids”. How appropriate!

The comedy is a female “buddy film” that features some raunchy scenes and plenty of bawdy humor.

The Mail reports that the couple were seen at their local multiplex cinema in Llandudno Junction, 40 miles away from their home in Anglesey.

That certainly is a way to travel for a date night!

Cinemagoers were stunned to find they were rubbing shoulders with Royalty at the Butterkist stand, and immediately took to Twitter to share the news. 

“My friend from Uni has just seen Prince William and Kate Middleton in my local cinema,” one Twitter user wrote excitedly. 

Cineworld confirmed the sightings with the following Tweet on Monday morning, “Prince William & Kate Middy saw “Bridesmaids” at Cineworld Llandudno this W’end. Wonder what they made of Kristen Wiigs ‘one eyed’ impression?”

Um, did nobody think to Twitter about what she was wearing? Something tells us these people need a lesson in Duchess sightings!

Is This Hottie Included in the Selling Price?

If you missed out on the ultimate in Royal memorabilia – Kate’s childhood family home – back in June, don’t fret. You still may be able to own a piece of Middleton history by buying Kate’s old ride!

Yes readers, you read that right – her indigo blue VW Golf will be going on sale on eBay tomorrow.

The Duchess bought the car in Edinburgh in November of 2001, just before she started dating Prince William. She used the car to drive around St. Andrews University and was regularly photographed driving to and from her job as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw while living in London; logging about 60,000 miles on the vehicle.

Pre-Duchess Rule Breaking!

She was even caught on film at one point in the car trying to talk her way out of a ticket from a parking officer in the Chelsea neighborhood of London. Like we always say, the girl is just like us!

The Mail reports that Kate drove the vehicle until February 2007 – a few months before it was revealed that she and William had parted ways (briefly). She gave the car to her brother James amid rumors that she wanted to get rid of everything that reminded her of the Prince and decided she no longer wanted to drive it.

The Middleton family sold the car to a dealer in 2009 near Reading. It ended up in the hands of Sonny Brazil, whose father Al owns the dealership.

Sonny revealed to The Mail, “It’s amazing to think I only paid about £1,400 pounds (US $2,261) for the car and now it’s worth far more than that.”

He added, “James was very nice, a real gentleman. At the time I didn’t put two and two together because he didn’t exactly say he was related to Kate but when I noticed the log book and saw the first owner was Catherine Middleton I got quite excited.”

We’ll say! This cutie-pie hit the mother-load!

Not only is Sonny putting the car up for sale, but is also including a pair of silver cufflinks that were left inside of the car. “I’m not quite sure who the cufflinks belong to, they might have been William’s or they could have belonged to James. It is hard to say but I’ll be selling them with the car as well as all the receipts for work done on the car and the log book.”

A gander at the documentation confirms Catherine Middleton as the first owner of the car. It also reveals that Kate has had a few minor issues with her driving as she had to have a wing mirror replaced in 2003 as well as her front headlight fixed after it was broken in 2006.

Since the purchase, Sonny has put only about 2,500 more miles on the car as to protect his lucky investment. “I became quite precious about it and wouldn’t let anyone else drive it, even parking it in a locked garage away from the house in case anyone tried to nick it,” he said.

So, how do you get your hands on this piece of history?

Simple! Just head on over to eBay and get your bid on! The bidding is said to start at $32, 212 and it is expected to bring in at least $48,464.

UKate is back at headquarters after a whirlwind weekend in LA following Wills and Kate! Now that our sunburns and hysteria have subsided, we’re going through all the shots from the weekend.

First up, our day at The Foundation Polo Challenge at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. And lastly, in scalding juxtaposition, is our visit to LA’s Skid Row, where we braved CSI crime scenes waiting to happen for a glimpse of Kate — spoiler alert — we didn’t get one.
